Export Current View to Excel
With introduction of Integra for Notes 4.1 the default Export Current View To Excel profile which was included previously in the product has been superseded by the Integra Quick Reports product and its simple Wizard adding more user controlled features such as selecting additional fields, sorting, grouping, e-mailing etc. See details about Integra Quick Reports.
The ready-made profile has subsequently been removed from the Integra template. Nevertheless, the original functionality is still supported and is now simply built into the core of Integra's run time libraries. To create a profile that would do exactly what the original Export Current View To Excel profile does one can follow these steps:
- Create a new Integra Excel export profile
- Select the for All Databases option in the Database tab
- Do not add any computed fields and do not create an Excel template by clicking the Edit Template button
- Select Use Tags = No in the Excel Tab
- Enable the Format Excel Output According to Selected View (column) Formatting option in the Advanced Option sub-tab of the Advanced Tab
- For best performance select Export Method = Normal (default)
- Other options may be enabled or disabled as they seem fit
Integra 3.0 had a default profile that catered for this functionality. The Export Current View to Excel profile stopped working as from Integra 4.1 On upgrading, the existing Export Current View To Excel profile will not be deleted, however, the profile will stop functioning mainly because the advanced callback script function used in the profile ceased to exist in Integra for Notes 4.1. |
